Stevie Wonder Makes Divorce Official

Soul singer, Stevie Wonder  announced last week, his official split from wife Kai Millard Morris.  Married since 2001, the couple has been legally separated since October 2009.  Born Stevland Hardaway Morris, Wonder is represented by attorney Laura Wasser, who’s previously handled proceedings for several celebrity clients such as Maria Shriver, Kim Kardashian and the former Ms. Kobe Bryant all in 2011.

According to TMZ, he cited irreconcilable differences and authorized the divorce papers by stamping his two fingerprints.

Game Sued Over Mixtape Beat

According to hiphopdx.com,  Game was recently hit with a lawsuit over a mixtape beat. Producer Infamous alleges that he gave the California rapper a beat in 2010 to decide whether he wanted to use it on a project. Apparently, the producer never heard back from Game about the track and it was used without his consent as "Skate On" on his California Republic mixtape.

Infamous also says that he attempted to get into contact with Game via a letter, but that the Compton emcee never responded. He is seeking $100,000 compensation in the suit. This isn't the first time Game's headed to court over a mixtape beat. Last year, RZA filed suit against the emcee over the song "Heartbreak" from his Purp & Patron mixtape.

'Dami-Duro' crooner, Davido has debunked reports going round that he is signed on D'Banj's record label, DB Records. During an interview with Saturday Independent, the rave-of-the-moment, said he has the utmost respect for the D’banj and said although they’re working together, he is still an independent artist under his own label. In his words, ‘I am not signed under his label at the moment. We are working together and he has business for me and we will see what the future holds’ he concluded.

'The Dark Knight Rises' Tops Box-office For The Second Week!

According to reports, the latest Bat-Man movie ‘The Dark Knight Rises ‘ has maintained its number one spot at the box office for the second week in a row.

The final installment of Christopher Nolan‘s Batman series raked in an amazing $64million (N10.4 bn) over the weekend. The film, starring Christian Bale, has earned rave reviews and topped the charts over a slow weekend bringing its total worldwide haul $537.3m (N87.5 bn).

Engees Donates N1m To Brain Tumor Patient!

Having recently lost his mum a few weeks back, Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye, the older brother of popular hip-hop duo, P-Square has shown rare compassion by donating a whooping N1m to a brain tumor patient named Ibezim Osemeke.

According to a report on lindaikeji.blogspot.com, Engees read about Ibezim’s plight and was moved by his predicament. Ibezim will require about N3.7m for an operation in India. Jude Okoye’s donation will certainly make a huge difference in the fund-raising. In an industry fraught with larger-than-life egos and selfish people, Jude’s act of kindness is like a true breath of fresh air.

Jay-Z, Beyonce and baby Blue Ivy are currently having summer in the Hamptons and wait for it... one month's rent for their new pad is $400,000!!! That according to TMZ.com is more than most Americans' homes.
The Carter family will be enjoying their 12-bedroom mansion which comes with a 60-foot heated swimming pool and full tennis court.
The mansion also has a separate two-bedroom apartment just in case the couple might wanna to have friends stay overnight

The trio touched down in Lagos, Nigeria, on Saturday July 28th, for a series of events with fans and Club partners. They left the country after attending a fun party with fans at Eko Hotels on Sunday.

Michael Jackson's Kids to Appear in Reality Show

The Jackson family are at odds over the inclusion of Michael Jackson's three children in an upcoming A&E reality show about the famous family, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue. A source tells Us Weekly the buzzed-about program will include Michael's kids -- Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7 -- though not everyone's happy about it. Eldest sister Rebbie, 59, who has refused to be in the series (called The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, tentatively set to air in December), "feels Michael would spin in his grave if he knew his kids would be on this show."

While Janet, 43, is on board, mom Katherine "is just going along with things," the source continues. One of the creators of the program revealed that the show will be either five one-hour episodes or 10 half-hour episodes.

Grammy Awards is Political - Drake

To say Drake had a successful year in his music career will be the understatement of the year. On April 29, 2010, it was announced that Drake had finished  his debut effort Thank Me Later. Like the dramatist that he is, Drake announced the completion of the album to a crowd during his April 26, 2010, show at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Success translated to nominations at this year’s Grammys (he got 4) but unfortunately, the awards didn’t follow.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Drizzy discussed not yet winning a Grammy. "I've always been fascinated with the Grammys, so I don't mean disrespect when I say this, but I've kind of given up on them," he revealed. "If I ever get one, or when I get one, I'll be ecstatic, because that's a recurring dream I've had since I was a kid: That my mother's still alive and that I'm onstage accepting a Grammy, and I get to thank her on that stage. But it's tough. They can never really break their mold."

One loss, however, stuck out to him, was to one of the songs off of Jay-Z Blueprint 3, an album on which Drake was featured. "[T]he one that really got to me was when I lost to 'D.O.A.' for 'Best I Ever Had.' That one to me was, like, really? Not to say that Jay-Z isn't the most incredible rapper and that 'D.O.A.' wasn't a good song. I just felt like they had an option to give me a Grammy for a mixtape, and they just didn't do it [laughs]. Because it goes against the grain of everything that is traditional."

"I don't measure my success anymore by the Grammys. I can't because I'll just end up crushed. And, not to be offensive, I just feel it's political. Would I love to win a Grammy? Sure. Will I win one after that comment? Probably not."

Conrad Murray Pronounced Guilty!

November 7, 2011 Dr Conrad Murray was pronounced guilty for the involuntary manslaughter of the late pop king Michael Jackson, the jury reached a verdict after nine hours of deliberating. Dr Murray will be remanded in custody without bail till sentencing, which is Tuesday November 29th, 2011. He faces up to four years imprisonment and also losing his medical license.

'Ye takes to his Twitter account and hints at a group album with his G.O.O.D. Music family. Yeezy has revealed that a G.O.O.D. Music album could be in the works for a Spring 2012 release, he shared the news through his Twitter account (@kanyewest). The G.O.O.D. Music family consists of Kid CuDi, Big Sean, Mr. Hudson, CyHi The Prynce, Pusha T, D'banj, Common and others.

Am Sorry – Soulja Boy Begs Fans

Soulja Boy took to his Twitter account yesterday to apologize to fans for his behavior, as well as those involved in putting out his new movie. Soulja Boy was arrested earlier tuesday morning in Temple, Georgia after police discovered ample amounts of marijuana, guns and cash inside of his car.

The 21 yr old rapper was in a car with four other men when police pulled them over for a traffic violation. After inspecting the vehicle, cops discovered a “substantial amount” of cash and weed, estimated around $70,000, inside the vehicle. All five were arrested, and Soulja Boy is currently being held in Carrol County Jail. Guns were also found in the car, though it’s unclear if any of them had licenses for them. They were later charged with felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of a weapon in commission of a crime and possession with intent to distribute.
